Three Problems All Workday Customers Need Solved

Workday is a powerful Human Resources Information System, and it's getting more powerful every year. That's one of the reasons so many teams have decided to use it to streamline their business processes, reporting, and data integration.

No matter the system, change always brings new challenges. These three are universal to all Workday customers.

  1. Managing a new Implementation

It seems obvious, because only Workday Customers implement Workday, but it remains true that a new implementation presents all kinds of challenges. Everything your team was doing before, still has to get done and so you need your old business processes, data flows, and technical customizations to work with this new environment.

  2. Adding or Changing Partner Systems

Workday is never the only platform in your ecosystem. Even the "Workday Only" shop has to deal with outside vendors and data consumers/producers. But most often there are a whole stack of custom tools, vendor systems, and supporting systems that Workday needs to interact with. Anytime a vendor changes, or a data-lake system changes, or a payroll system gets replaced, your Workday data needs change. The data must flow!

  3. Data Conversion

There are many reasons why data conversion might need to happen, but in these cases the data cannot just be ignored, and it can't be converted wantonly. Managing the process of getting data out of one system and into another, while also maintaining data integrity and validating the results once you're done, is a whole project in itself. Add to that the need for skilled, thorough, and prompt manpower to execute the actual development and transformation, and you have a recipe for challenges.

Whether you need someone who has been through an implementation and can help you navigate a new set of integrations, or if you're changing timekeeping systems and need someone to translate integrations and business processes for a new partner system, or if you have data that has to move and need the elbow-grease to get it done quickly, reach out to me and find out how I can help. Maybe a quick conversation will answer some questions, or maybe we need to talk about planning a project together, just get in touch.
