About Me.
Matthew works in a range of traditional and digital media. His current focus is on exploring unorthodox media and happy accidents. His current body of work is exploring the "activity" that is sometimes implied by shiny, volumetric, or very dimensional surfaces. He enjoys the pristine look of high-gloss epoxy resin, and the volumetric quality of mixing particles into it. Given that epoxy resin can be difficult to work with, he is also exploring other finishing materials.
Matthew is currently earning a Master of Fine Arts degree in Visualization from Texas A&M University. His work has been shown in some local community shows.
Matthew is currently employed by the Texas A&M University System as an Integration Developer.
His earlier employment was also primarily software application development.
Matthew served for 5 years of active duty in the United States Marine Corps, between 2003 and 2008.
